KDE neon is an open source operating system and software suite created by the KDE community. It is based on Kubuntu, a Linux distribution, and the latest version of the KDE Plasma desktop environment. The software suite includes a range of desktop applications, such as web browsers, office suites, media players, and image editors. It also offers a variety of utilities, such as system and network monitors, backup and restore tools, and security and privacy tools. KDE neon also includes a range of development tools, such as compilers, debuggers, interpreters, and version control systems. KDE neon is designed to be easy to use, with a simple graphical user interface and a range of customization options. It is available for both personal and commercial use.
Manjaro and KDE Neon are based on the Plasma desktop. Manjaro is a rolling distro, so it gets very fast updates, the moment new software versions are released. Neon gets this only for the Plasma desktop component. Otherwise, Neon is Ubuntu LTS under the hood.
