Description

Pardus is a free and open-source Linux operating system developed by the Pardus project, part of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey. It is based on the Debian GNU/Linux distribution and includes applications such as the Firefox web browser, the LibreOffice productivity suite, the K Desktop Environment (KDE), the GIMP graphics editor, and the Pardus Package Manager (PPM). Its official website provides access to a large repository of software packages, as well as community forums, bug reports, and other features. Pardus also provides its own set of desktop tools, such as the Pardus Control Center, which provides access to system settings and configuration. Pardus includes many system administration and security tools, such as the Pardus Firewall and the Pardus Security Center. It is designed to be easy to use and secure, and it is suitable for both desktop and server use.
