Si te gusta foobar2000 en Windows, DeadBeeF definitivamente será tu elección en Linux. Simple, pero genial. Yo uso la versión 0.7.2 en Linux Mint 18.2. Pros: teclas de acceso directo globales personalizados. Cola, a la que se pueden agregar canciones para reproducir sin interrumpir el orden de reproducción original (suponiendo que permanezca dentro de la lista de reproducción). Barra de búsqueda visible. Barajar. Se ejecuta fácilmente en segundo plano, con una huella de RAM baja. Los metadatos se pueden editar en el reproductor, incluso a granel. Contras: No actualizar automáticamente la biblioteca central. Funciona a través de "listas de reproducción", que son listas de canciones seleccionadas manualmente. No hay forma de ver la cola, especialmente si abarca varias listas de reproducción. Otras notas: cuando finaliza la cola, la reproducción continúa desde la lista de reproducción en la que se encontraba la última canción de la cola. Algunas opciones de columna (por ejemplo, género) deben crearse manualmente.
En general, hace la mayoría de las cosas que quiero en un reproductor de música, y todo lo demás se puede solucionar. Por lo tanto, lo estoy usando como un reproductor de música primario de Linux.

Como usuario de mucho tiempo de Foobar2000, me perdí todas sus opciones cuando comencé a usar Xubuntu (Linux). Si disfrutas de interfaces bonitas, este reproductor de audio no es para ti, pero si necesitas un reproductor basado en todos los puntos fuertes de foobar2000, DeadBeef debería ser tu primera opción como reproductor de audio en Linux. Fuera de la caja tiene Replay Gain, buenos procesadores de sonido y remuestreadores, se lee a partir de esta versión AAC, ALAC, SHN, PSF, APE, FLAC, MPEG 1.2.3, MusePack, WAV, AIFF, TTA, OGG Vorbis, WavPack , VTX, MIDI, WMA, SID, DTS, soporta listas de reproducción PLS, M3U. También puede convertir archivos de audio como foobar2000, para esto deberías tener algunos codificadores instalados, como Lame, por ejemplo. Puede leer imágenes, pero foobar aún tiene mejor soporte para eso, aun así hace un buen trabajo la mayor parte del tiempo.
Puede leer archivos de audio en ZIP (y RAR si instala un complemento) Puede enviar información a LastFM y también puede acceder a él para artistas y letras similares a través de un complemento. Funciona mejor a través de ALSA porque PulseAudio no es muy estable a partir de esta versión. En general, es un buen reproductor de audio basado en listas de reproducción con buen soporte para carátulas. Probado en Xubuntu 13.10, usando una tarjeta de sonido M-Audio 2496.
