Un reproductor multimedia extremadamente versátil y fiable. Probablemente sea una de las piezas de software más complejas que surgieron de Windows Vista y Windows 7: hay muy pocos reproductores de medios que puedan igualar la complejidad y las características de WMP. Sin embargo, no es favorable para quienes prefieren una interfaz minimalista. Además, WMP solo viene con un conjunto limitado de códecs: por lo general, es necesario emparejar esto con K-Lite Codec Pack para que WMP sea útil. [Editado por 5247009, 26 de diciembre]

No pensaría que, después de todo este tiempo de hacer reproductores de medios, Microsoft tendría problemas para crear uno que indexara su biblioteca. También pensarías que podrían dar información precisa para los nombres de las canciones cuando actualices desde internet. WMP 12 no hace ninguna de estas cosas. También es lento y poco intuitivo. También muestra la mitad de mis canciones como cero bytes (si no eliges todas las opciones, windows quiere que las elijas no funcionan correctamente). ¿Por qué no puedo poner las canciones en el orden del título y luego comenzar a escribir una pista? nombre para saltar a ella? Porque Windows no me deja (es una queja de persona bastante específica). Le doy 3 de 10.
