It offers a wide range of tools for editing video, such as trimming, cutting, and joining clips, adding titles, transitions, and special effects, as well as color correction and audio mixing. Additionally, Shotcut can be used to create videos for streaming, uploading to YouTube and other social media platforms, or burning to a DVD. It also supports a variety of hardware and software devices, including Blackmagic, DeckLink, and AJA hardware, and FFmpeg and Libav software.
It has a built-in video editor, although video editing is not its only purpose.
