Description

PlanetSide is an online multiplayer first-person shooter game developed by Daybreak Game Company and released in 2003. Players take part in massive online battles, controlling land, air and vehicle-based infantry and vehicles to achieve objectives. Players can join one of three factions and engage in large-scale warfare and team-based combat. Each faction has its own arsenal of weapons and vehicles, as well as its own range of infantry classes. Players can customize their characters with a variety of clothing, weapons and armor. The game features an expansive world with multiple continents, and players must work together with their faction to capture and defend strategic locations. Players gain experience points from completing objectives, and can use these to unlock new weapons, armor and upgrades. The game also features an extensive system of leaderboards and rankings, allowing players to compete against one another.
