IL-2 Sturmovik is a combat flight simulator video game series set during World War II. It is developed by 1C:Maddox Games and published by Ubisoft. It is the successor to the 2000 game IL-2 Sturmovik, and the first game in the series to be released for the Xbox and PlayStation 3. Since its first release in 2001, the game has been praised for its accuracy, attention to detail, and realistic flight simulation. The game features extensive aircraft customization, detailed historical aircraft models, and realistic environments.
