Entré en Linux porque puedo elegir todo lo que quiero en mi computadora. Openbox es rápido, ligero, sin hinchazón, directo al grano. Openbox básicamente consta de tres archivos: autostart, menux.xml y rc.xml. El inicio automático enumera las aplicaciones que desea iniciar en el inicio tan fácilmente como agregar el comando y cualquier otro argumento que desee. En cuanto a menu.xml, administra el menú del botón derecho en el escritorio. Hay una aplicación llamada "obmenu" que hace el truco en GUI, por lo que no necesita saber XML para generar su menú. Por último, rc.xml se ocupa del mouse y los enlaces de teclas, lo que considero la mayor ventaja de Openbox. Esto fue especialmente útil para mí para aumentar la productividad, ya que puedo hacer más con menos pulsaciones de teclas y más rápido.
He estado usando este administrador de ventanas durante tres años (gracias a Crunchbang por esto), y funciona muy bien en máquinas de gama baja, ya que no consume RAM mientras se ejecuta como un entorno de escritorio completo como KDE, Gnome, Unity. , Canela o como se llame. Gran pieza de software!
