Description

NetworkMiner is a network forensics analysis tool (NFAT) used for monitoring and analyzing network traffic in real-time. It captures network packets and stores them in a file for later analysis. NetworkMiner can also parse PCAP files for off-line analysis and to regenerate/reassemble transmitted files and certificates from PCAP files. It can detect operating systems, sessions, hostnames, open ports, and applications. NetworkMiner can be used to detect network intrusions, detect malicious activities, analyze data, and monitor network traffic. It can also be used to track down security incidents, identify potential threats, and troubleshoot network issues. NetworkMiner can also be used to identify which services are running on a host and what files are being transferred. It can also be used to analyze the contents of packets and to decode their contents. NetworkMiner can also be used to extract usernames, passwords, and other data from network packets.
