Links is a cross-platform graphical web browser for Unix-like operating systems developed by Links Development Group. It is open-source software released under the GNU General Public License. Links has a text-based user interface which is heavily keyboard-oriented. However, it also has a graphical user interface (GUI) for the X Window System. It supports HTML 3.2, CSS, JavaScript and other web standards. It is a free and lightweight browser that is suitable for low-end systems. It also has support for secure connections (SSL/TLS), proxy servers and a wide range of web applications. It can be used to access webmail, newsgroups, FTP sites and other web resources. Links is a popular alternative to web browsers such as Firefox, Chrome and Internet Explorer.
Discontinued The project seems to be no longer in development. In August 2017, former Konqueror maintainer David Faure proposed to integrate QupZilla, now https://alternativeapp.info/software/qupzilla/, into KDE to replace the old Konqueror.
