Description

Lynx is a free and open-source text-based web browser for use on a wide range of computer platforms. It is the oldest web browser still in general use and development, having started in 1992, and is the only web browser currently in use that can be used entirely from a command line interface. Lynx supports features such as HTML tables, frames, and forms, as well as client-side image maps. It can also display text-mode graphics using either external programs or built-in renderers. Lynx is designed to be extremely lightweight and fast, making it ideal for use on slow connections and low-power machines, and it requires very little RAM and CPU time to operate.
