Me encanta Komodo Edit. Compré Adobe CS 4 Web Design Premium de mi escuela para mi curso de diseño web y me encuentro usando Komodo Edit en lugar de DreamWeaver. Komodo Edit admite complementos, tiene un volumen bastante bajo y tiene muchas opciones para personalizar y ajustar su espacio de trabajo. Construido en FTP, la capacidad de guardar archivos relacionados como proyectos, macros, casi todo lo que cabría esperar de un IDE serio por el bajo precio de forma gratuita. Si no necesitas o no quieres un WSYWIG, no puedes equivocarte con Komodo.

Fantástico paquete de forma gratuita, aunque creo que solo puede ser software gratuito en lugar de código abierto. Considero a Komodo Edit como uno de los mejores editores / IDE actualmente gratuitos. Si bien SublimeText2 (y el github del equipo Atom pronto se finalizará) es excelente, si aún desea tener un mínimo de administración gráfica para tareas simples sin tener que ir a un archivo de configuración json, Komodo Edit es una de las mejores alternativas para el desarrollo de PHP. , pero también muchos otros idiomas ??. Komodo Edit Edición gratuita se encuentra entre el editor y el IDE: FTP ManagementSmart Autocompletado de código rápido (php, jquery, javascript, etc ...) Admite casi todos los tipos de idiomas, códigos de correo electrónico y es fácil de crear Macro y dejar de lado el complemento de Emmet compatible y muchos otros. Me encanta este medio IDE de Publisher, incluso en su versión gratuita porque requiere poco recurso, es fácil de configurar, puede integrar fácilmente las librerías con autocompletar y nuevas plantillas de código.
Una de las mejores alternativas en términos de pocos recursos de consumo si está cansado del gran IDE de Eclipse.

Tengo 5 editores de texto en mi computadora: 1. Coda; 2. Edición de Komodo; 3. Espresso 2; 4. Dreamweaver; 5. TextMate. Los uso todos para varias cosas (p. Ej., FTP en Coda; hojas de estilo CSS en Espresso 2; corrección de pruebas en Dreamweaver, etc.), pero estoy usando Komodo Edit más que cualquiera de los demás, especialmente últimamente. Es un editor tan increíble, y no puedo creer que sea gratis. Descargué algunos de los otros editores gratuitos (Aptana, TextWrangler, etc.) y los eliminé de mi computadora poco después. Los encontré lentos y engorrosos, por no mencionar increíblemente buggy. La mejor combinación en la Tierra es usar Komodo Edit junto con Firebug. Eso es lo que uso el 95% del tiempo porque no hay un entorno para el desarrollo que pueda superar ese combo, simplemente es increíble.
Komodo Edit es un editor altamente subestimado. He usado casi todos ellos, y también soy extremadamente exigente. Si aún no has probado Komodo Edit, te recomiendo que lo hagas lo antes posible (especialmente en conjunto con Firebug).
