KGB Archiver is a free file compression software application that allows users to compress and decompress files while maintaining an extremely high compression ratio. It can create archives in the .kgb format, which is the native format for the KGB Archiver application. It supports the .zip, .rar, .tar, .7z and .gzip formats for archiving and unarchiving. It also allows users to encrypt and password protect their archives with AES-256 encryption for added security. KGB Archiver utilizes the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) as its main cipher and it also supports the other ciphers such as Blowfish and Twofish. It is also capable of self-extracting (SFX) archives and supports Unicode file names.
