File Roller is a free and open-source file archiving and compression application for the Linux and Unix operating systems. It is a graphical application which allows the user to view, create, and modify archives. It supports a wide variety of archive formats including 7z, rar, tar, gzip, and bzip2. File Roller also provides an easy-to-use interface for browsing, opening, and extracting files from archives. Additionally, it can be used to create new archives, add files and directories to existing archives, and to delete files and directories from existing archives. File Roller also supports encryption and password protection, as well as a range of other features such as splitting archives into multiple volumes and verifying the integrity of archives.
