FreeOTFE (Free On-The-Fly Encryption) is a free, open source disk encryption software solution designed to protect sensitive data stored on Windows and Linux based systems. It provides on-the-fly encryption of data stored on any type of storage device, including external drives, USB flash drives, hard drives and memory cards. FreeOTFE encrypts data using one of several encryption algorithms, and is capable of creating encrypted partitions on removable storage devices. The software also provides support for multiple user accounts, allowing each user to store their data in a separate encrypted container. In addition, FreeOTFE includes a password manager and other security tools to help users protect their data from unauthorized access.
