AirSnare is an Internet security application designed to protect a user's computer from malicious or unwanted intruders. AirSnare uses a variety of methods to detect and block outside connections to the user's computer from the Internet and to monitor network traffic. It keeps a log of all detected intrusions, including the originating IP address, the type of intrusion, and the time and date of the intrusion. The log can be viewed in real time, and the user can create various rules to further customize their security settings. AirSnare also includes a host of other features, such as the ability to block specific IP addresses, block certain ports, block certain applications, and limit bandwidth usage.
