AES Crypt is a cross-platform, open-source file encryption software that uses the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) encryption algorithm to secure sensitive data. It is available as a desktop application for Windows, Mac, and Linux, as well as a web application for any device with a web browser. AES Crypt enables users to easily and securely encrypt individual files and folders using either a password of their choice or a randomly generated one. Files encrypted with AES Crypt can be safely transferred over the internet or stored on a computer, external hard drive, or cloud storage service without the risk of data being accessed by unauthorized parties. AES Crypt also provides an optional two-factor authentication feature that helps protect against brute-force attacks.
