YaCy is a distributed, open source search engine software released under the GPL. It is written in Java and runs on Windows, Mac OSX, and Linux. It allows users to search the web using keywords, images, and documents. YaCy also allows users to customize search results, add new search sources, and share search results with other users. YaCy users can also join a “peer-to-peer” network, allowing them to search the web simultaneously and share results with each other. The YaCy app also allows users to create their own search engine, allowing them to index and search the web in a personalized way. YaCy is highly customizable, allowing users to customize their search experience to their needs.
It has excellent search results, well organized, I just wish I could filter by photos, videos, news, like the CIA/NSA/Google does, but it's worth the sacrifice.
