Virtual Volumes View (VVV) is a powerful application designed to help CD/DVD authors easily manage and view the contents of their audio and video discs. VVV provides a graphical view of the volume layout of CDs, DVDs, and other digital media, and allows authors to quickly and easily navigate the contents of each disc. It also allows authors to create and edit tracks and albums, and to add and delete files on their discs. Additionally, VVV provides advanced tools to analyze the disc's structure and to compare two discs side-by-side. With VVV, authors can quickly and easily create, edit, and organize their CD/DVD content.
Cathy quickly catalogs all types of volumes. Lightweight, portable and originally for Windows, it works also with Linux through Wine and also indexes hidden Linux files (not made by VVV). Cathy Catalog = the Best!

Discontinued The program is no longer updated. The latest version, 3.70, released in February 2010, can still be downloaded from the official website.
This is the only disk catalog application that actually works on macOS. Unfortunately, the free alternatives like VVVV have not been updated for a long time and do not work.
Discontinued Last version: 2006. See version 2.6 release date on the download sites.
ACAT does the same as VVV (Virtual Volumes View) only it is much faster in cataloging and the catalog database size is 10 times smaller. I did a test database and VVV for 2 hard drives with little information, exceptions to all the thousands of Windows system files and index cache, etc., 202 MBACAT were managed in the same catalog at 16 MB. The advanced cataloger is 8 times more efficient.
