TomatoUSB is an open source, Linux-based firmware for routers and low-power devices. It is designed to provide users with enhanced control over the security and privacy of their device and network. It features a wide range of features including, but not limited to, advanced QoS (Quality of Service) control, dynamic DNS, VPN support, and a built-in firewall. TomatoUSB also has additional features such as a bandwidth monitor, an advanced traffic shaping engine, and a dynamic DNS client. Discontinued Tomato has not been updated since 2011. For testing reasons, the latest update to Tomate, 1.28, includes in its change notes that it updated the version of dnsmasq to v2.55. DNS Masq is currently at version v2.72. The v2.55 DNSmasq update was released in 2010.
