Gargoyle is an open-source network and administration application designed to monitor and manage a network of computers and devices. It provides a centralized web interface to manage network settings and monitor network activity. It is designed to be easily extensible with custom modules and plugins. Gargoyle allows users to monitor network traffic, set up quality of service rules, shape bandwidth, control access to websites, and set up virtual LANs (VLANs). It also provides support for a variety of VPN protocols, such as OpenVPN, PPTP and L2TP. Additionally, Gargoyle can be used to monitor system health, detect intrusions, and troubleshoot network problems.
Discontinued Tomato has not been updated since 2011. For testing reasons, the latest update to Tomate, 1.28, includes in its change notes that it updated the version of dnsmasq to v2.55. DNS Masq is currently at version v2.72. The v2.55 DNSmasq update was released in 2010.
