Tinc VPN is an open-source, peer-to-peer Virtual Private Network (VPN) that allows users to securely connect to a private network over the internet. It is designed to create secure, encrypted links between two or more computers, allowing them to communicate privately and securely. Tinc VPN is easy to set up and use, and can be used for a variety of applications. Tinc VPN is secure and private, protecting users’ data from being intercepted and viewed by third parties. It also allows users to access resources on a local network, such as printers and shared drives, from anywhere in the world. The network is also highly resilient, meaning that if one node goes down, the rest of the nodes can continue to communicate. Tinc VPN is also highly configurable, allowing users to customize the security settings to their own needs. It supports a wide range of platforms, including Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android. It also offers a range of optional features, such as support for multiple tunnels, dynamic IP addresses, and a variety of encryption algorithms.
Discontinued The project is no longer being developed. The latest version, 0.8, released in December 2010, can still be downloaded from SourceForge.

Honestly, a VPN answer in P-2-P / mesh network. Tinc claims it has its features, but they didn't implement it as a proper P2P VPN, leaving it for "flexibility" reasons.
