P2PVPN, or Peer-to-Peer Virtual Private Network, is an application that creates a secure connection between two or more computers on the internet. It is used to protect the privacy of users and to provide secure data transmission between devices. It can be used to transmit data between two computers, or to connect two or more computers in a secure “virtual private network”. Unlike a traditional VPN, which uses a central server to connect the two devices, P2PVPN uses its own network of computers to create a secure connection. Each computer in the network is called a “peer”. The peers communicate with each other through the P2PVPN application, and each peer encrypts the data before sending it to the other. This ensures that the data is secure and cannot be intercepted by third parties. P2PVPN is useful for ensuring secure communication between computers, and for protecting user privacy. It can also be used for file sharing, streaming, and gaming, allowing users to connect securely with each other without the risk of data interception.
No registration is required, so it is better than Hamachi, and offers LAN VPNs, like P2PVPN and Hamachi. Unfortunately it is server dependent, not P2P.
