TextExpander is a powerful productivity tool for Mac, Windows, and iOS that helps people save time by automatically typing frequently used words and phrases. It works by allowing users to create short snippets of text and assign them a short keyword or shortcut. When the keyword or shortcut is typed into any text field, the corresponding snippet is automatically expanded. TextExpander can be used to quickly type signatures, boilerplate text, email greetings, and more. It has powerful features such as JavaScript snippet support, rich text formatting, and the ability to sync snippets across multiple devices. TextExpander also includes a comprehensive library of snippets, making it easy to get up and running quickly.
Rather the same functionality. Cheap, only a few dollars, active development. Works under Citrix.
Keyboard Maestro is much more than a "text expander". It is a full-featured development environment that does not require coding, just like Automator.
Much more than just text expansion. If you're on a Mac all day, this app is nifty.
