PDFtk (short for PDF Toolkit) is a free and open source cross-platform graphical user interface for manipulating Portable Document Format (PDF) documents. It is primarily used to split, merge, rotate, watermark, and encrypt PDF files. PDFtk can also be used to fill in form fields of PDF forms, extract data from PDF forms, apply passwords and permissions to PDF documents, and more. It is available for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux as a stand-alone application, as well as a command-line tool. It can also be used as a web service using the PDFtk Server.
