Microsoft Office Visio is a powerful diagramming and vector graphics application. It is part of the Microsoft Office suite and is used to create professional-looking diagrams and flowcharts. It can be used to visualize and share information, create diagrams, collaborate on projects, and create process maps. Visio is a great tool for visually representing complex concepts, processes, and relationships. It allows users to create diagrams quickly and easily with its drag-and-drop features and pre-made templates. It also has features for sharing and collaboration, such as the ability to share diagrams with others and comment on them. Visio makes it easy to create visually engaging diagrams and presentations.
It's free and includes many of the same features.
It is really easy to use and has many features for a web application.
It's free, easy to use, I can use it online.
Better than Visio, and the betting part is that both the online and PC programs are awesome.
As good, if not better, as Visio.
Supports export of SVG diagrams - yay for infinite zoom!
Good functionality, when all custom pallets are in place, over the years.
Does not map the network design easily enough, which is what Visio was designed to do from the start
Bueno for UI models, no for UML
Used to make sketches for a mobile graphical user interface.
Visio is a native application, while Pencil is a web page disguised as an application, with the usual drawbacks, such as poor performance and OS integration, etc.
You can draw flowcharts and diagrams with almost all Visio features. You can drag a box, press F2 and start typing, for example.
It is free and open source, while Visio is proprietary and expensive.
Draw is very similar to Visio. It's basically the free and open source version of it. You can create flowcharts with it like in Visio, and other things you can't do with Visio. Although Visio is more focused on creating flowcharts and flowcharts and does it very well, it is extremely expensive, whereas Draw is free and open source.
It's hard to say when I haven't started using it yet, but it seems to have the functionality I need without the expensive price tag, no doubt.
Discontinued No new versions since 2011. The latest version, 0.97.2, can still be downloaded from the official website.
Clumpsy Handling, look de estilo old fashion
Dia does not have cross-platform copying capability.
I have tried them all. Lucidchart is the easiest to use, works on all my devices and supports real-time collaboration.
Cross-platform interoperability is key.
Free, fast and easy to work with, without bogging you down with logical statements or life-changing decisions.
Easy to use and seems more powerful than MS Visio.
On the Mac there is no other program that is as versatile compared to Visio (which is not available for Mac OS).
It has a table tool with merging, splitting and other table functions and folding trees.
It has the same user interface and software features.
Similar user interface and less learning curve. Cross-platform, good job
Easier to use, more flexible and individual set of tools for each type of diagram.
You can draw things by writing simple scripts !!!!
Easy to use. Very professional look.

It is very convenient and contains many features.
