The Microsoft Office Suite is a collection of popular applications used for creating and editing documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and other forms of data. The Suite includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access, among other programs. It is used by millions of individuals and businesses around the world for creating professional-looking documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and more. Microsoft Office Suite also includes cloud storage services, allowing users to store, access, and share their documents from anywhere, anytime. The Suite is available for purchase as a subscription service and is compatible with both Windows and Mac operating systems.
I have been using LibreOffice for many years and it does exactly what I expect it to do.
A complete and reliable office suite. I use it on both my Ubuntu 15.04 installation and my Windows 10 Technical Preview one. Pretty awesome, you won't miss anything from MS Office.
It can do everything MS Office can do and even more? Draw and Math are plus and LO can open many more formats than MS Office.
It does about 90% of what Microsoft Office does and meets my needs.
Multi-platform and free (both free and free beer) with all the functionality you'd expect from an office suit and more!
LibreOffice is not fully compatible with Microsoft formats like OnlyOffice, but it is good to be protected against vendor lock-in from Microsoft Corporation.
Powerpoint processor needed for class. Libre's powerpoint processor did not allow for good note taking (a giant text box was created below the slide which made the slide very small).
It is open source, free and can do anything Microsoft Office can do.
It is free and open source, regularly updated and compatible with all types of data.
It can be improved by changing the interface.
Full-featured, high compatibility, actively developing.
A complete alternative to Microsoft Office.
Better than office and free of charge
Easy to use, constantly updated.
Very suitable and is a great office suite.
Offers excellent alternatives to all major Microsoft Office applications.
It's like the twin brother of the MS office.
Essentially the same features, but it is free and open source.
LibreOffice is stable, powerful and intuitive for people who are already familiar with Microsoft Office. For people tired of paying for what is, at present, relatively simple software, LibreOffice is my personal recommendation.
Google Drive is nothing like Microsoft Office. It is essentially a cloud service that has some online office applications.
It is an online-only service and is not as powerful as MS Office.
A centerpiece for Google's cloud services, such as documents, slides, sheets and more, which are my cloud alternatives to MS-Office and LibreOffice.
Google Drive is a cloud storage service, not an Office suite.
Good freemium alternative for simple projects.
This is a glorified cloud storage service with integrated web applications, similar to Zoho and OneDrive, etc.
It's hard to say whether GDrive is an alternative, since it's essentially the storage place for the rest of Google's office suite tools. By using GDrive, you have access not only to your files, but also to all of the integrated Google office tools. I'm not aware of any one term to refer to all of Google's office tools, and GDrive is as close as you can get to being able to access all of them. So, with that logic, I think this is an alternative.
Probably the best user interface.
gratis. Alta compatibilidad con ms office.
It has all the basic functionalities for DOCX, PPTX and XLSX.
WPS Office is a good alternative if you use Android
An excellent alternative to Google Docs, Spreadsheets, Presentations and other cloud applications as a local deployment.
Great compatibility, user interface and features, but lacks hyphenation support, which is almost a basic necessity!
High degree of compatibility, fast upgrade and some new features are more convenient.
It is very easy to use software with very good graphical user interface but with less features.
Its beta version is free and seems to be the only one with a ribbon user interface. However, it lacks an alternative to MS Access.
Because it is exactly the same interface as Microsoft Office ...
This is Microsoft Office, free. All other options have compatibility issues, but this one does not.
It is free and has the same functions as Microsoft Office.
Free, no ads like many other "free" programs, and open source.
Apache Open Office is based on the old StarOffice, which 10-15 years ago was way ahead of MS Office, just like AOO. The other alternative is LibreOffice, which is also based on the same old platform. Those two are especially efficient for work, but also satisfy any need a private user may have.
It has everything MSO has and it's easier to use, faster and free!
124 MB download, no invasive services, no increase in CPU or HDD I/O, less cluttered GUI, appears to be compatible and efficient. What's not to love?
It has many of the essential features, is relatively light on resources, is Open Source (a big +++) and works well with native MS file formats. Only Office also runs on the Linux platform.
It does not mess up the formatting like LibreOffice does.
I use SoftMaker Office and SoftMaker FreeOffice on Linux O.S., no problem with printing, electronic plan XLSX and DOCX.
This is the only real alternative to Office 365. It is the full-featured office solution with more features for Documents, Spreadsheets, Presentations and PDF files. You can work on any device and sync everything you work on with ease.
Discontinued The project seems to be no longer developed. It was last committed to the GitHub repository on June 27, 2016, but can still be downloaded and installed.
Bundleware Included with Yandex applications.

It has similar features, but a less polished interface.
