ManKai Common Lisp (MKCL) is an open source, high-performance, portable, embeddable implementation of the Common Lisp programming language. It is designed to provide users with an easy-to-use platform for developing and running applications written in Lisp. MKCL is implemented in C, and uses the GNU Compiler Collection (GCC) to compile code into native machine instructions.
