Description

Jacksum is an open source checksum calculator for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux and other operating systems. It is a tool for verifying that a file has not been modified, replaced or corrupted. It can be used to check data integrity and make sure that the file you are downloading from the internet is the same as the original version. Jacksum calculates checksums and hashes for files, directories and single files, allowing you to detect changes in the file. It supports over 30 algorithms such as MD5, SHA-1, SHA-2, RIPEMD-160, CRC32, and more. Additionally, Jacksum can generate checksums in various formats such as Base64, Hex, UUEncode and more. It also has a built-in file comparison tool, which allows you to compare two files and identify any differences, as well as a directory compare tool that compares files in two different directories.
