HxD is a powerful and easy-to-use hex editor designed to help users modify binary files, OLE compound files, logical devices, and physical drives. It is a free and open source software with a user-friendly graphical interface and a versatile set of features including search and replace, checksums and hashes, exporting to different formats, and more. With HxD, users can view and edit any type of file including disk images, system processes, and data files. It also supports advanced features such as disk cloning, disk imaging, disk wiping, file comparison, data recovery, and disk health monitoring.
