Como el título lo sugiere anteriormente, lo libre * tiene una advertencia. El plan gratuito es tal que Google comprime sus imágenes con su algoritmo propietario para que tenga un archivo de imagen mucho más pequeño cargado en googlephotos. Lo mismo ocurre con sus videos también, usando la misma tecnología que usan para youtube. Personalmente, no puedo distinguir ninguna diferencia en la calidad de las imágenes + videos subidos a las fotos de Google, por lo que este es un momento para mí. Si realiza cualquier tipo de trabajo fotográfico y necesita una copia de seguridad de formato de archivo de imagen .raw de alta resolución, sugeriría usar otro servicio basado en la nube dedicado específicamente para esa tarea. Alguna vez has subido fotos de Google, en realidad muy rápidamente y obtén la gran imagen rápidamente.

Aunque Google Photos es un servicio basado en la web, es una excelente alternativa de Picasa. Estas son las pocas razones por las que reemplaza a Picasa muy bien: Copia de seguridad automática de fotos (teléfono, computadora) Almacenamiento de fotos ilimitado (si está de acuerdo con el algoritmo de compresión increíblemente excelente de Google) Etiquetado automático de la cara, los objetos y los lugares Redes neuronales) Excelentes capacidades de búsqueda. Compartir álbumes por URL a cualquier persona, no se necesita una cuenta para acceder o descargar álbumes o fotos. Álbumes colaborativos compartidos ¡Efectos automáticos (collages, filtros) a las fotos y, lo que es mejor, álbumes y videos de viajes automáticos! Capacidades de edición no destructiva. Antes solía usar mucho Picasa, pero desde que se descontinuó, Google Photos parece ser la mejor opción.
El único inconveniente podría ser que está basado en la web, por lo que primero debe cargar las imágenes, y que la compartición con otros servicios como Facebook se realiza a través de un álbum de fotos de Google o descargando y cargando cada imagen individual.

Las fotos de Google son una interfaz web lenta y torpe que no se compara con Picasa. No tiene soporte para caras que no le permitirán localizar fotos rápidamente. Y no tiene ninguna opción de sincronización que funcione. Google ha abandonado a los usuarios de PC y ahora solo apoya y cuida a los usuarios móviles. Los usuarios de dispositivos móviles no usan una computadora, como lo hacen los usuarios de computadoras portátiles, por eso faltan todas estas opciones.
