Después de dos décadas de usar vi simplemente porque estaba allí, decidí dar el paso y probar Emacs. Me parece que la interfaz es más agradable y, después de unas pocas horas de ajustes, encontré una configuración que se ve bien y funciona bien en Windows, Linux y FreeBSD. Me gusta mucho que Emacs venga con un montón de utilidades integradas, como el maravilloso modo Org. En Windows, Emacs reemplazó a Evernote y OneNote para tomar notas (con el modo org) y Notepad ++ y EditPad Pro para la edición de texto. Una herramienta de productividad sencillamente maravillosa. Gracias Richard Stallman y Guy Steele, Jr.
