DigitalOcean es una excelente opción para desarrolladores y entornos de desarrollo, implementan rápidamente grandes cantidades de capacidad del servidor y pagan solo por hora por lo que usa con precios directos. Cometí el error de usar sus servidores para un entorno de producción con un par de servidores de juegos, aunque el rendimiento fue aceptable, se convirtió en un completo desastre una vez que los ataques DDoS comenzaron a rodar ya que el ancho de banda se redujo durante 3 horas, incluso durante ataques menores. El soporte dice que no hay mucho que hacer aparte de comprar protección DDoS de un proveedor externo. Para ser justos, en el servidor donde alojé mi sitio web, base de datos, etc., pude utilizar el plan gratuito de Cloudflares para evitar el bloqueo durante los ataques DDoS y, como entorno de desarrollo, fue excelente.
Una desventaja es la velocidad lenta de la CPU de 1.8GHz, al menos para los planes más pequeños en las ubicaciones que probé. Como la mayoría de los servidores físicos tienen CPU de 2.4GHz o 3.6GHz, existe una pequeña posibilidad de que estén usando núcleos compartidos.

Lo mejor que he probado hasta ahora. Es muy fácil de configurar y súper fácil de personalizar. El único problema que he tenido es que a veces la interfaz falla, pero no es nada serio. Las personas que se quejan de que no tienen TOS probablemente cerraron sus sitios por una razón y, además, deberían haber tenido una copia de seguridad de la base de datos. El TOS es claro que si lo publicas, ellos pueden hacer lo que quieran con él, a perpetuidad. Hacer de este uno de esos HOMBRES DE DINERO que no serían legales en Francia, que exige un trato justo de los artistas. Sinceramente, creo que esto debería ser prohibido porque simplemente no es una forma justa y abierta de hacer negocios. Sería justo prohibirlo y nivelar el campo de juego si costara $ .50 centavos más. LA EMPRESA SABE QUE UN TOS COMO ES INNIGIBLE, Y UNA FALTA COMPLETA.
