CoovaChilli is an open source captive portal software application that provides secure access to public and private networks. It is designed to be used in conjunction with an access point in order to provide a way for users to authenticate before gaining access to the network. With CoovaChilli, users are able to authenticate using a number of methods such as username/password, RADIUS, Facebook, Google, and other social networks. After authentication, users are granted access to the network, and CoovaChilli can be configured to restrict access to certain websites or services. CoovaChilli can also be used to capture user information such as IP address, MAC address, and other data for logging and monitoring purposes.
