Bulletstorm is a first-person shooter video game developed by People Can Fly and Epic Games and published by Electronic Arts. The game is set in a futuristic science fiction environment and places the player in the role of Grayson Hunt, an exiled member of an elite military squad. The plot follows Hunt's quest for revenge after he is betrayed by his former commanding officer, General Sarrano. Players battle their way through hordes of enemies in a variety of environments, using a combination of firearms and an energy leash, a weapon which allows players to grab enemies and objects and hurl them at other enemies. As the player defeats enemies, they are rewarded with points which can be used to acquire additional weapons, upgrades and special abilities. Players can also engage in a variety of challenges and earn points for completing them. Bulletstorm has been praised for its unique and often humorous approach to combat and for its entertaining story. It has been criticized for its short length and for its lack of online multiplayer.
