BioShock is a critically acclaimed first-person shooter video game developed by 2K Boston and 2K Australia for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Microsoft Windows platforms. The game is set in the underwater city of Rapture, a dystopian art deco-style city filled with genetically modified citizens, which has gone into chaos since a civil war broke out. Players take on the role of Jack, a survivor of a plane crash, who must explore the city while trying to survive against the mutated citizens and the mechanical protection drones of Rapture. Players can use weapons and plasmids (genetic modifications) to fight their enemies, while also having the ability to use the environment to their advantage. Plasmids can be used to create traps and manipulate objects, while weapons can be upgraded with special ammo, such as electricity and fire. The game also features an interesting moral system, where players can choose to be good or evil, which has an effect on the game's ending.
