Discontinued Aptana is still under development on GitHub but the latest version, 3.6.1, was released in October 2014. It lacks Java 8/9 features, as well as more recent JavaScript and HTML 5 features.
looks more like c ++ or any other instead of b4x
Most similar language (not case sensitive, instead of As, var / const instead of Dim, has As / Is), RAD, time tested, cross-platform, truly "simple" native like C / C++, many libs, can use / make libs for C / C++ / ObjC, Free / OSS. Applications like PeaZip, 64-bit Total Commander, dual Commander and others are made with it. Similar to Delphi and VB, classic Skype made with Delphi. Only MS VB could be more similar, certainly not Java.
Discontinued The latest version is from April 2015. Project inactive for a while, see https://sourceforge.net/p/orwelldevcpp/forums/general/thread/ce51da27/
b4x is a basic type of code like Microsoft's Visual Studio, but in its own way, while others use Java, Q4 is more like a mix of everything, probably the future of all tools developed in one.
