A File Management Application is an Android app that enables users to manage and organize their files, documents, images, videos and other digital data on their device. It allows users to browse, search, copy, cut, paste and move their files, as well as rename, delete or share them. It also allows users to compress and decompress files, as well as encrypt and decrypt them for security. The app also offers an intuitive user interface with drag-and-drop capability, making it easier for users to manage their files. Some applications also provide cloud storage integration, enabling users to back up their files in the cloud. Other features include file sorting, filtering and previewing options, as well as support for file sharing services such as Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive.
Fully open source, no Google spyware, community-driven.
UBports is a great mobile OS with a vibrant community, a good collection of apps and it doesn't spy on you.
Google no longer controls you, but you will be able to install Android apps thanks to Anbox. In addition, Ubuntu Touch is converged and can offer a desktop experience.
It is the best free and independent mobile operating system out there.
Privacy, open source, OTA updates, Linux-based, user interface, community, convergence.
It respects your privacy by design and has a pleasant user interface.
It's linux You will have privacy. The application ecosystem is an ecosystem of freedom. The convergence project environment seems to be the best choice as the interface is very adaptive.
Good, low-cost hardware available. A beautiful and elegant operating system that handles all the tasks you need without selling your personal data.
This is mostly free software (except some drivers and blobs needed to support hardware). The GNU/Linux operating system distribution, based on Ubuntu, provides the convergence of the user interface. This is the best possible approach to mobile computing!
Intuitive user interface managed and developed by the community, full GNU/Linux distribution, can run desktop and command-line Linux applications, in addition to having a viable native application ecosystem.
Ubuntu Touch is the alternative mobile operating system that you can really use as a daily driver. It is in active development and supported to be a great community. give it a try!
On the limited number of devices, it works much better than Android.
The code is open, so there is no ambiguity about what happens on your phone with your data. Of all the truly open source phone operating systems (Google's Android phones are partly open source), I find Ubuntu Touch to be the most carefully designed operating system. The UBPorts community is ready to help you with anything related to Ubuntu Touch.
More privacy-focused than Android.
It is free and does not track you.
Open source, with security/privacy in mind, is not bulky unlike Android.
Unlock your phone and put you in total control.
Ubuntu Touch is not vendor locked, i.e. updates come from UBports, not from your hardware manufacturer. When you want to change something in the applications, contact the community.
Lineage is basically stock Android without the bloatware from Google or device manufacturers. You can usually upgrade to a more modern version of Android than your device natively supports, and you can reinstall any software you still want, making it an excellent alternative.
good features, large community, many motivated developers, patches for very old devices (at least 10 years in some cases).
Lineage OS is the best custom ROM if you don't like the original large Android provided by the OEM. It is very close to having a stock ROM with many significant tweaks available.
Some LineageOS resources are still Google resources, but the FLOSS process is underway. As GoogleMaps is switching to commercial these days, Android could become commercial with fees as well. Free software alternatives are required to avoid such enclosures.
Android only with a different processor architecture. Not an alternative.
is for computers, not tablets/phones
Incorrect processor architecture, not compatible with andoid devices
A very promising and fresh look at the mobile interface. Compatible with Android apps, but much more innovative in terms of how it interacts with your phone.
New mobile operating system running full GNU/Linux. It has an Android-like interface paradigm (widgets, etc.) that makes it easy to adjust. Only negative is the current lack of mobile apps. However, it has a great selection of desktop applications. Using this operating system with a stylus should avoid this problem.
It has a full-featured GNU/Linux base, so you can do everything you are used to from your desktop GNU/Linux system. In addition, there is a large and growing community that develops the system and helps you with your problems. You can even get involved and realize your own ideas about a great mobile operating system! Moreover, Plasma Mobile is not money and data first, but fully respects the user's privacy and freedom.
Although still in its early stages, it is a good GNU/Linux mobile experience with an excellent KDE user interface.
Discontinued The Jide company decided to discontinue the Remix OS project and concentrate its efforts in the enterprise space: http://www.jide.com/ At this time, the latest version, 3.0.207, released in November 2016, can still be downloaded From the official website.
Remix OS is based on Android, but is optimized to run on desktops as well. It is probably the best Android-based desktop operating system.
It aims to replace Android on devices that are no longer supported by the device manufacturer.

True Linux on your phone, control over your own data and your own hardware. A positive, active and helpful community behind it.
