Desafortunadamente, el desarrollador de XXClone ha fallecido y las versiones más recientes del programa tienen una duración limitada. He usado XXClone y es un buen software de clonación. Cloné mi unidad C: con Windows 8.1 en otra partición vacía F: en el mismo disco duro (~ 45 minutos, dependiendo del tamaño de la partición C:) Luego Ejecuté la unidad de arranque desde XXclone, y supongo que NO funcionó. Normalmente no publico comentarios relacionados con el software. A menos que tenga consecuencias catastróficas. Lo he estado utilizando durante años en una máquina XP y he trabajado perfectamente. Se usó solo una vez (ver2.07.2) en un nuevo Win7 64 bit el año pasado e hizo el trabajo bien. Cuando lo intenté de nuevo (abril de 2016) me encontré con un mensaje de actualización forzada y descargué la versión 2.08.1. Lo que sucedió después es profundamente preocupante. Tremendo ruido de disco duro en la instalación, borrado (nunca se puede encontrar de nuevo en la Papelera en ningún otro lugar) 90% de los archivos .exe instalados, archivos asociados y carpetas en Archivos de programa, al menos uno más en Archivos de programa (86). Ojalá tuviera una copia de seguridad y lograra restaurarlos. No estoy seguro de qué lo causó, pero en una búsqueda rápida me topé con comentarios similares en CNet.
Ya sea una nueva protección de Windows contra la clonación o simplemente un software defectuoso, hasta ahora no hay ninguna advertencia o solución en el sitio web de XXClone. Este comentario se refiere solamente a la versión 2.08.1.
