Windows Backup and Restore is a built-in application for all Windows operating systems. It saves your personal files, settings, and applications on your local hard drive and also in the cloud. It creates a system image of your Windows installation, so you can restore your system in the event of a crash. It also lets you back up and restore files, folders, and drives. You can set it up to back up your system on a regular basis, or you can do it manually. With Windows Backup and Restore, you can also create a recovery drive to help you troubleshoot and repair your system if something goes wrong.
Discontinued Current subscribers were informed last year that CrashPlan Home will be discontinued in October 2018. The service has recommended users sign up for another home service such as Carbonite, or for CrashPlan's much more expensive business plan.
