A Web Cache is a type of caching system that stores copies of webpages, images, and other content to reduce the amount of time a user needs to wait for a webpage to load. This is done by storing a copy of the requested webpage on the user's local computer, or on a server closer to the user than the origin web server. When a user requests a webpage, the Web Cache will check to see if it has a copy of the page stored, and if so, it will serve the cached version instead of requesting the page from the origin server. This reduces the amount of data the user has to wait for, and can significantly speed up the loading time of the webpage.
