Amazon ElastiCache is a web service that makes it easy to deploy, operate, and scale an in-memory data store or cache in the cloud. It provides a cost-effective way to manage and store frequently accessed data in memory, allowing applications to access data faster and more reliably than with disk-based databases or disk-based data stores. ElastiCache is powered by the open source Redis engine, and supports both Memcached and Redis. With ElastiCache, users can easily deploy nodes in minutes, automatically scale nodes up and down, and have in-memory data replicated across multiple Availability Zones for higher availability. ElastiCache also provides advanced features such as Multi-AZ failover, automatic failover, and snapshot backups. Additionally, ElastiCache supports advanced security features such as encryption, authentication, and authorization.
