TSIS-CORSIM (Traffic Simulation System - Corridor Simulation) is a traffic simulation software program developed by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). It is designed to simulate the movement of vehicular traffic along a highway corridor. The software produces detailed outputs which allow users to assess the impact of proposed changes to a highway corridor. It can be used to assess the effects of new traffic patterns, lane configurations, traffic control devices, and other modifications. It is especially useful for assessing the impacts of proposed construction projects on existing traffic patterns. TSIS-CORSIM is also used to evaluate the safety of a highway corridor and to evaluate the operational performance of the existing roadway.
