Description

Tera Term is a free and open source, terminal emulator application. It is an advanced terminal emulator that supports SSH, Telnet, RLogin, Serial, and TAPI protocols, making it ideal for automating tasks or connecting to remote systems. Tera Term is used for managing devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices, as well as for accessing mainframes, Linux/Unix servers, and other computer systems. It is also used for connecting to and managing legacy systems, such as DEC VAX and Alpha, as well as for connecting to BBS systems. The application features a scripting language that allows users to automate tasks, and an xmodem/zmodem file transfer protocol that allows users to transfer files between two computers. It also provides support for SSH, encryption, and logging of sessions, as well as support for printing of ANSI color and XTerm 256 color.
