Silent Storm is a 3D turn-based tactics computer game set in World War II developed by Nival Interactive. It combines elements of the tactical and the role-playing genres in an open-ended game with a highly detailed character development system. Players take control of a squad of up to six soldiers, each of which can be customized in regards to gender, nationality, clothing, facial features, etc. The game features both a single-player campaign and a multiplayer mode. In the single-player campaign, the player's squad is dropped into a variety of secret missions in a variety of locations, ranging from snowy Norway to the African deserts. The player must complete various objectives, such as rescue missions, sabotage, assassination, and so on. As the squad progresses, they gain experience and upgrade their armor, weapons, and skills. In multiplayer mode, the player can join or create battles featuring up to six players. Battles are fought in a variety of game types, such as deathmatch, capture the flag, and king of the hill. Silent Storm features a unique 3D engine that allows for realistic physics and destructible environments. Buildings and cover can be destroyed in real time, and the environment can be shaped by explosions. The game also features realistic AI, making for an intense and challenging experience.
