Everything in the cloud with more connections to banks than Quicken.
It automatically syncs with all my accounts, but still allows manual entry of transactions (e.g., future invoices and scheduled payments). The interface is easy to use and essentially moves Quicken online. Better than alternatives because it focuses on being your online checkbook. Supported by the payment clients which keeps it ad-free.
Updating accounts really works! And the technical support really helps!
The automatic synchronization is more convenient than Quicken, where I have to log in and then download transactions for a number of institutions. Also, I found out first hand that CountAbout has good customer service. I banked with a small credit union, and the staff went the extra mile to make sure I could log in.
loads the acceleration information perfectly
Allows connections to all my accounts, even those in Europe, which I did not expect. Simple and easy to use interface.
Links to Fidelity (Quicken does not) and is cloud-based (Quicken is not).
Permite la importación de datos rápidos. Auto descarga de transacciones. Informes. Muy buena alternativa para acelerar.
This is really just an Android front end.
I just wanted a "check register". This is much simpler than the full GnuCash accounting.
will not import .qdf data files
HomeBank is a comprehensive tool for keeping track of all my bank accounts. It has many options and is supported by a team that continues to add features and resolve issues.
Focusing your money control over the budget is the differential. However, YNAB is too expensive.
I don't like the way you handle split transactions.
KMyMoney does a lot, but it also needs to grow a lot to become a more complete personal finance software, overall, it's pretty good, especially if you only have 2 bank accounts and don't want to automatically download transactions from your bank's website.
I tried to adopt the use of Manager and it seemed to be extremely unfinished software. where are the features? how do I access them? It looked like I would have to do everything manually on paper books and then claim I had accounting software because there was an M on my screen. Uninstalled as a waste of hard drive space.
Moneydance does everything I've used for Quicken, and costs less. It was easy enough to convert my 25 years of Quicken data to Moneydance. Plus, Moneydance doesn't bother you with update reminders.

Argh. Espero que puedas evitar mi frustración.
It's awesome for anyone who needs more functionality than Mint can provide, specifically the ability to have an account that isn't tied to a bank. It's great to have the equivalent of Quicken in the cloud, so it's immediately available on all devices.
