Description

QEMU is an open source application for running virtual machines on multiple host operating systems including Linux, Windows, MacOS, and BSD. It allows users to run multiple virtual machines (VMs) on the same physical system, each with its own operating system, applications, and configuration. This makes it possible to run different operating systems on the same hardware, which can be useful for testing different software configurations or for running legacy applications. QEMU also provides users with a range of additional features, such as disk image snapshots, network bridging, and support for USB devices. It also includes a range of virtualization technologies, such as KVM and Xen, that can be used to increase performance and security.
