One of the most powerful web filtering proxy products out there. Unfortunately, its creator has disappeared or died. Contrary to squid, it is a non-caching proxy, specifically designed to filter header information and intrusive scripts.

Since then, web protocols have changed, and Polipo has not been kept up to date. It has no support for HTTP/2.0 or the WebSocket protocol. Polipo will no longer be maintained.
