Poser is for animating 3D models. It only creates 3D models.
It is extremely rudimentary in comparison.
A much more modern interface that can be customized so that you can assign keyboard shortcuts and mouse buttons to match those of other programs in your pipeline

It does the job very well and you have many other options to customize skybox, lightsource and more.

You can't really POSE in this program. It only has some built-in poses, which you can't edit.
