Pidgin-Encryption is an open source encryption application (or website) that allows users to securely exchange messages and files over the internet. It is a free and easy-to-use tool that enables users to protect their data and communications from prying eyes. It is used to provide secure communication between two or more parties by encrypting the messages sent through the internet. Pidgin-Encryption uses a combination of public key cryptography and symmetric encryption algorithms (such as AES, Blowfish and Twofish) to ensure secure transmission of data. It also provides an intuitive graphical user interface (GUI) for easy configuration and management of encryption keys and settings. Pidgin-Encryption is available for both desktop and mobile devices, for Windows, Mac and Linux.
Interruption of the website leads elsewhere, the service seems to be suspended.
Discontinued The program is no longer updated. The latest version, 1.0, released in February 2014, can still be downloaded from SourceForge.
